A note from our owner, Jim Speros….
Since our first Velocity Wings concept opened in Summer of 2013 in Purcellville, Virginia, we have been humbled by and extremely proud of the overwhelming support our concept received from the community. We opened with the mission and goals of providing delicious, fresh food and affordable family fun for our neighbors. In each location opened since, we have been welcomed with warm support and smiling faces.
At Velocity Wings, we want to be more than just a local restaurant, we want to be a champion of the communities we serve. We have made it an integral piece of our business model to support our local schools, churches, youth teams, civic and non-profit organizations. This is our promise to the communities that have welcomed and supported us over the years.
Additionally, we take immense pride in serving the freshest wings and burgers; made from the best ingredients, sourcing local vendors as often as possible. Our wings are never frozen – always fresh and we serve burgers made from Prime Cut Angus Beef, the very best beef available.
Jim Speros has been in the restaurant business his entire life. The Speros family owned and operated “Normandie Farms” in Potomac, Maryland and his love for restaurants was born through that venture.
Even as a coach with the Washington Redskins and an owner of the Canadian Football League team in Baltimore, Jim was involved in restaurants – including Champions Sports, The Tavern at Great Falls, E-Citi Café, and the Velocity Five Sports Restaurant Chain (which he founded in 2007). His mission has always been to serve the best food, in the cleanest facility with the friendliest most competent staff. We look forward to providing the same type of safe, friendly, delicious environment at Velocity Wings.
